In order to increase clarity and distinction between the product and the company, EmpirBus AB has changed its name to Trigentic AB. EmpirBus will continue to be the collective name for the company's marine product line, focusing on EmpirBus CLC and EmpirBus NXT.

Uddevalla based Trigentic and Pininfarina have developed a fully electrically powered concept car, based on a Saab 93 cab. 3 months from idea, the car was tested in Uddevalla, and then sent to Saab's development organization. The idea to develop a fully operational prototype was launched by Pininfarina who also coordinated and led the work.
